OLD PHOTOS OF THE DAY

These were some of my old boards that I wish I had saved. I always had to sell one to buy the next, but looking back I wish I hadn't. The blue mountain logo based Burton Brushie was so fun. ( Taken at Nashoba early 90's ?) One pic shows other stuff in my room in 1984. The Hutch Pro Racer was pretty dialed at the time. I sold it and enough parts to build another 5 bikes for $250 bucks before leaving for UMASS. I'm still kicking myself to this day. The original Burton Backhill was my first snowboard. I broke the back "strap" at Loon and sold it after that to a kid that took the edges out of some old skis and screwed them into the board. The red Performer came a bit later. I bought it off of Doug Mills who was one of my local idols when I was a kid. Doug was a ripping surf, skate, and snowboarder. He was also the older brother of my friend Dave Mills who went on to do work for STIMILON, Gravis and now Helmet House. The other pic was taken at Brighton when people still rode plates and hard boots for actual carving. That's an old Rossignol that I had Emery bindings and Burton Megaflex boots for. I probably should have saved the day glow North Face coat too since bright colors are back. Everything could have been saved except for my hair..that just quit on me. I can live with that, but still want my old stuff back.

QUICK PICS

Here are a few images from around the shop as we move into Fall.

NIGHT CRAWLERS

I'm not sure what's going on with the cool weather coming in, but the spiders sure are busy on the building lately.
Here's the non skate version of beauty and the beast.

WHILE YOU DREAM...

...about snowboarding right now, the guys at Waterville Valley have been cranking out some new features and tweaking the other more permanent features like the Oakley hubba. Luke and the boys know what's up there at WV, and you should make sure to take some laps up there yourself when the time comes.

Luke Mathison:
Hey guys,
Here is a photo of the dirt work we did around the Oakley Hubba. Gonna be so sweet!

Congrats to Luke and Hannah on their 1st year anniversary too. Just around 50-70 years to go together! Just look at the other photo of Luke too..with a guy like that how could she go wrong.

BACK TO..... NORMAL?

Things here in the shop are being pieced back together since the tent sale. We're moving things around and dialing in the shop for Fall, and sooner than you know it ..Winter. We have a lot of the new 2010 snowboards and gear on display along with a giant restock of skateboard decks, wheels, and more. The Fall is the best for skating with cooler nights and...... ahhh and that fresh change of seasons crisp air. Once the dust has completely settled we'll be sure to get the blog cranked up again too with new pics and updates...stay tuned.

IT'S A BOY!

...well, a man that's the size of a boy. Spada celebrates the main event of September as we gear up for the money saving extravaganza also known as the Annual TENT SALE. It's no joke ..we have a ton of insane deals on jackets boards and more. Peep it out. Most of it's set up already if you want to beat the rush. Boards, bindings, and jackets are available for the taking now. The rest is boxed up and a little tough to get at but if you're going away for the weekend and want a crack at it, stop in and we'll accommodate you as best we can. Remember ALL of this is BRAND NEW, last seasons gear at the same prices people try and sell the used stuff for. Another bonus is it's free to park and even just look unlike other "big sales" towards Boston. A rough count of boards at 40% off is 500! Mens Womens and kids ...multiple brands too, like ROME, K2, BURTON, FORUM, CAPITA, RIDE, LIB, GNU, 5150, ROXY, and STEPCHILD. You snooze you lose.
