WATERVILLE

RIDE TATTOO PARTY

Wed there was another Ride tattoo party which I showed up late for, but Mike and Ryan from the Natick EB got a couple of pretty heavy pieces. Holden and Rides Mikey LeBlanc hung out and partied with the Wachusett crew and randoms into the night. It's always good to see Matt Sickles and the gang too. We rode Wachusett in the morning and I have to say the snow has been amazing. Thanks Ride

WIN A K2 SET UP and SUNDAY RIVER TICKETS!

Bar hosts scholarship fundraiser
CLINTON Telegram -- The new Spillway bar on High Street is hosting a raffle fundraiser for a scholarship in memory of David Kinosian, a friend of owner Seth Salwa who died unexpectedly seven years ago because of complications of diabetes.

Eastern Boarder of Leominster and K2 Snowboards have donated a K2 Anagram snowboard with K2 Sonic bindings; a value of $400, according to Mr. Salwa’s wife, Kerrie Carnes Salwa, co-owner of the bar. A second raffle prize of two lift tickets to Sunday River Ski Resort in Bethel, Maine, was added by the staff at the ski resort.

Raffle tickets cost $5 each; or three for $10. They are available at The Spillway, 212 High St., which is open seven days a week.

The drawing will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the bar.

Proceeds will go to the David Kinosian Scholarship Fund, for a scholarship to Suffolk University Sawyer Business School. David, who loved to skateboard and snowboard, was a junior there when he died.

For more information, call (978) 368-1132.

Thats right ..win a new K2 set up and do something nice at the same time for someone else! Go to the new Spillway in downtown Clinton grab a little holiday cheer and a chance to win a new board and binding. Say hello to our good friends Seth and Kerri for us. THANK YOU K2 AND SUNDAY RIVER.

GET LUCKY

Easy to skate to the park with and functional Supertool from Lucky. It'll fit well in a stocking and not break the bank.

CUSTOM ICS

Some new hella fresh Burton ICS Customs are here. Super easy set up with an amazing amount of stance possibilities.

THINGS AND STUFF

Smith and Spacecraft limited goggles with hard cases. Don't get to your travel destination with tweaked frames and scratched lenses jammed in your gear bag.

Hours of DVD viewing pleasure. Peep them all night, then drop knowledge about the latest, longest, gnarliest, kinkiest, donkey punching rails and chutes to all your dumbfounded snow bros. Amaze the ladies at the bar with all the latest info and who has what tune blaring during their part.

If you never had a puffy you have no idea what you're missing...laugh at the cold temps without having to wear forty layers.

Jumping off things is all part of the fun for EB snow skate stuntman hero Nick. Under the radar and up in your face all at the same time. NH raised him well.

Preston just mailed out the new Mt Hood Summer camp registration info. If you're thinking of having a totally awesome time riding and skating in Oregon for a couple of weeks you better look into it soon before your desired session is sold out. SNOW...AND LOTS OF IT

Massachusetts never looked so good. Not in the last two years anyway. A couple of healthy storms have given the area a good early season stoke for riders all over New England. From Jay Peak Vt. Sunday River Me. and now Wachusett in Ma. everyones boasting of incredible early season conditions more than ever before. If you haven't tried snowboarding before because of bullet proof conditions or were lost when it comes to the snowmaking power at a ski area that makes it good anyways, now is the time to get off the couch and ride. Put the clicker down. Your TV and video games will still be there when you get back. Nothing puts a stupid smile on your face faster than a laid back rip through soft powder. At most mountains they offer great packages on staying over night and lift rates tend to be lower too before Christmas. Here's the part where you shut the computer off and put your boots on. See you there..

RIDE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT

Now that mother nature took a dump on us it's time to wax that sled and get some if you haven't yet. It's nice to see some early season board hammering going on. I think we need more epoxy and ptex already. You guys just ride it however you want. I'll huff glue fumes and burning plastic smoke out back to keep that plank from splintering on you. Before you bring your 2008 board in and claim warranty from catching the front of a rail remember thats called impact damage. So are terrible landings. However EB has the secret formula and 25 years of tuning behind you. If we can't repair it ...and thats rare ...then you really trashed your whip.

NASHOBA VALLEY

Our buddy Mike over at the Valley sent these pics over of a few mini jibs they have set up. With the area being smaller they are able to blanket it quickly with a ton of snow when the weathers right. As Mike gets the snow he'll be building up the park asap. Stop on through and get your slide on. If you purchased a snowboard from EB this season we have a deal going on too where you can get 3 lessons and 3 lift passes for only $100. That saves you more than half the price! If you don't think you need the lessons you can just use the passes. Bring your receipt from EB to the ski school desk for vouchers. If you would like to take the lessons please call ahead to make sure times are available before arrival. Make sure to spray Mike with snow for us on the way down through the park.

EB SKATE TEAM

Nolan and Andy Mac have a couple shots in the Summer 2008 Bern catalog. Nolan is RIPPPPPING these days

STEP ASIDE VEGAN

A good deli is a wonderful thing. Why have .65lbs of roast beef in a bunch of little slices when they can cut it in one slice for a real sandwich. In fact if you're like me, you'll skip the bread and just put it on a stick. Ahhhhh delicious. Just one problem....after downing the thing in under three minutes I fell into a meat coma. Thank you Redbull for the jumpstart.

BEST TOY EVER

I know it's not new news but the death of the original "xtreme" hero made me remember how sick this toy was that I had when I was a little kid. Evel was the man. "I will never ever jump again..ever"..find old movies on the man...he was the ruler. 600lbs of motorcycle bouncing off your skin a few times a year made for rather large crowds at all of his stunts.

TROUBLE WITH OAKLEY

Thanks to Oakley for bringing a bunch of us to the Red Hook Brewery on Fri night. A little party with Trouble and a clinic showing us why Oakley makes one hell of a lens for your sunglasses and goggles, plus we got to create our own one of a kind pair to rock on the snow. Perfect timing with the storm we might see tonight.
