Fall Brawl 2012

Its that time of year again.  Our annual Fall Brawl skateboarding contest is upon us and boy is it going to be a doozey.  Fall Brawl is an invite only contest featuring the best skateboarders New England has to offer. This coming weekend on Saturday the 27th we have our Leominster Skatepark locals appreciation jam with good times, hot dogs, and most importantly CASH FOR TRICKS. Then the following day we have Worcester's Halloween Skate Jam with a game of D.E.A.T.H. and a costume contest. We will see you this weekend!

WINTER GEAR SLIDESHOW


We are stocking up for the 2012-13 winter season here at EB. If you have something in particular you're interested in riding this year don't wait too long to grab it. With the way last winter went, most companies have cut back to some degree with the amount of product made for this winter. Even last year a lot of the higher end gear was sold out by Thanksgiving in certain sizes and colors. Ya snooze ya lose...

·         Are you looking to build a video portfolio?

If the answer these questions is mostly YES, then we’ve got an opportunity for you that is so cool you won’t believe you’re actually going to get paid to help us  out!

Wachusett Mountain Ski Area is looking for the new face and voice of our Daily Snow Conditions Report.  If you think you have what it takes to share the “Wachusett” message this winter, then we want to hear from you as soon as possible.  We are not looking for cover letters or resumes, we are looking for a video audition to be sent to us before Nov. 1.  If you can show us how good you will be for this winter job in the middle of Fall then you are probably the right person (or people)! By the way, this job is so cool, it takes 3 f people to share the position.

How to submit:
Do a 2-4 minute video as if you already had the job – show us how much fun you are having and show us how  fun we’d be having if we were right there on the slopes with you!  Label video: Wachusett Mountain Video Snow Report Audition Tape – Your Name.  Post video on YouTube and send us the link with your contact information.

This six month position runs from early November through early April. (Important to note: Job runs 7 days a week from the day the mountain opens until the day it closes; Job starts every day by 7 a.m.!)  Daily responsibilities include:
·         Collecting updated daily snow conditions information from Ski Patrol Manager.
·         Collecting updated daily weather conditions.
·         Producing daily video snow report to post on website, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter.
·         Recording daily taped phone snow report.
·         Distributing daily snow conditions report to SnoCountry and all other snow conditions reporting services.
·         Updating Snow Report on website.
·         Printing and/or Posting Snow Report throughout base lodge and base area.
·         Taking daily photo for posting on website.
·         Helping produce other ski area web videos.
·         Assisting with other digital marketing needs including maintaining photo files, monitoring social media and related websites, monitoring  customer review websites.

HARVARD MA 3RD ANNUAL LONGBOARD EVENT - PICS AND WRITE UP




On August 12th, Harvard, MA hosted the 3rd Annual Central Mass Longboard Competition. Organized by Mike Girard, Loaded and Orangatang ambassador and G-Form rider and employee, the event brought in competitors from far and wide. 247 total riders from over 15 states participated in the event, competing in downhill, freeride and flatland disciplines. With spectators and staff included, total attendance approached 500.

EB SNOW TEAM UPDATE: NICK JULIUS

 Nick Julius is all healed up and on his way to Hintertuxer Austria next week to get some snow back under his feet. Looks like if you want 365 days of riding it's the place to be.
