Vermont ripper Forest Bailey is pretty much a household name at this point ..and for good reason. Here's his recent guestbook interview from Snowboarder.
The Park Pickle takes the next step in snowboard specific geometries. Banana between your feet for easy riding, catch-free park freestyle performance, and unreal float in powder. Magne-Traction for unreal edge- hold everywhere. Asymmetric sidecuts and construction to balance the different turning mechanics required for heel side turns and toe side turns. Your body is asymmetric, your snowboard should be asymmetric. Park Pickles with a deeper heel side sidecut and unique asym core, are designed around progressive riding and modern freestyle duck stances in all terrain. Hand built by snowboarders at Mervin Mfg. using fast growing eco woods and environmentally friendly construction techniques, the Park Pickle is some delicious green technology! Pickle Technology! 2011 TWSNOW Good Wood Winner!

FUN IN THE SUN OCT 8TH
Ben Pond started this little banger a few years back at Wachusett Mtn. Although Ben will be absent this year, Wachusett wanted to keep it going another season so we'll be there helping out too. As long as we get enough rink ice it's on. Tyler from the park will be setting up what we can to just go out and have some early season fun...in the sun. Expect a strip of "snow" and a lot of laughs. Pro division will award cash....how much will depend on total entries. Sign up on time and yes you need to wear a helmet.
Here's a clip from 2009/10 nabbed off You Tube.

DANNY DOES KNOW PAT
Pat Bridges. Those who may not know Pat personally have probably seen him somewhere on the snow anyway in the last 30+ years. He's been at most every major and minor snowboarding moment recorded since he's been strapped in. Pat has gone from rider to Snowboarder Magazine Editor. He's the Superpark mastermind, a "know that snow bro and name that video clip" encyclopedia and all around good guy with lots of quick jokes. Hopefully Pat will one day write more about his travels and life on the snow. Until the book comes out, we do have his acting on You Tube.
SERGE MURPHY NOW ON BONES AM TEAM
JOSH HEINO...BEEN A WHILE..
Josh rolled through the shop today. Guys come and go in the bike, skate, and snow industry all the time but most don't bank footage like this and make their mark quite like Josh did a while ago. Josh has a family now that keeps him pretty busy but he said he still gets on the bike when he can too which was good to hear. Watch this footage and look up a lot more on Josh while you're at it. Try stepping up to some of this stuff.....most wouldn't.

RANDOM
Every once in a while I check out this cool gadgety site called Uncrate It's loaded with mainly useless stuff for people. This one is just a little out of my price range but could make a nice bass boat.
"Gray Design Sovereign Yacht
Like a Frank Gehry building on water, the Gray Design Sovereign Yacht ($135 million+) embraces flowing, metallic forms for an unmistakable silhouette that will set you apart from all the other superyacht owners at the port. In all seriousness, though, this is a serious watercraft, featuring a wind turbine in the mast and solar panels on the roof to run the lighting systems and stock up reserve power supplies, a retractable cover on the bow that can serve as a sun shade for the jacuzzi, an infinity pool with a reinforced glass helipad in the center, a beach club on the lower deck, three MTU engines to hit speeds of up to 30 knots, and even an optional custom-built limo that's stored in the on-board garage. Here, let's get that drool off your chin."

IT'S ON AGAIN...GIVE JEANS A CHANCE
Last year our locals donated close to 60 pair of their old jeans here in Leominster to help keep the homeless folks clothed and warmer for the tough winter coming up. The donation boxes are in all the shops again, so find a pair or two that are still in wearable condition and donate them soon. What's in it for you? Besides the fact that you'll feel good about yourself, you have a chance to enter a drawing to win $500 worth of Volcom gear and be sent out to Volcoms HQ in Cali to be a part of the GJAC donation event. Come on in and "Give Jeans A Chance"
