Call in sick to work, play hooky from school and be at Waterville Valley on Tuesday, March 15th for the 3rd Annual Back to the Boneyard! Last year was a wicked good soggy time and there is no doubt that the third installment will be even better. It's a celebration of snowboarding, old and new for all with a hunger for shredding. There will be a BBQ, raffle, PBR après party and Red Bull after-after party, with the like of Pat Bridges, Bill Enos, Ben Newton and Pat Moore.

Multiple features and events will be built to shred in a new contest format. The Mike Baker Banked Slalom, Stimilon Big Air Jump and the worlds smallest 1/4 pipe are just three of the new events planned for the event. Prizes will be awarded to each rider category from event sponsors Volcom, Special Blend, Foursquare, Forum, Eastern Boarder, Electric and Red Bull. Also new for this year's event riders could be crowned the King of the Boneyard for exceptional riding on each feature. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Pat Moore Foundation, helping kids reach their goals in snowboarding through the Waterville Valley Snowboard Team. So bring your spring gloves, poncho... or your powder mitts because its New Hampshire and no one can really predict what will happen. Registration for the event will be $25 per rider and run 8-10am at the Event Yurt with all proceeds going to the Pat Moore Foundation.

Join Eastern Boarder, Burton Snowboards , and Wachusett Mtn for our 2nd womens only ride day! If you have been putting off learning how to ride, or want to have the chance to demo the latest equipment available from Burton then you won't want to miss this. Thursday March 3rd from 9-4pm come ride with us. Bring your friends and join in the fun for raffles and meeting other women that ride locally too. Learn about how to take care of your board. You'll have the chance to ask questions or ride and decide what sort of board you might purchase next. It's only $59 if you need a lesson and rentals or $39 if you come in for the demos. LAST CALL ROOMS AVAIL. $50

Last Call doesn't end at 4pm when the mountain closes. It's called Last Call..duh...Stay the night and get a room somewhere in Lincoln or Woodstock and hook up with the late night crew downtown usually at either the Station or another bar in that area. Use local town shuttles or a DD to avoid the blue light shuttle service.

ROME IS WHERE THE HEART IS

I caught up with Romes TM John Cavan and some of the team the other day in Plymouth. This is what they do..this really is who they are too. Regular guys who know what being a snowboarder really is. What other brand comes into your backyard to ride your personal jibs and bring in some of their heavies like LNP and Lazz? Keep an eye out on the Rome site for a video edit from their time in NH.

LOON SESSION

Mulch and I took off to ride Waterville and Loon last week when it was ...ummm 40-50 out. Sunny skies, soft snow and we happened to sit in the same gondola as one of TJ's biggest fans....haha!

Waterville has always been a great friendly place to ride, and a HUGE part of that is because of Deb and the marketing/events crew. Deb is moving on though at the end of this month. Everyone here at EB would love to wish her the very best with her new gig. Here she is with her son Pat whom you may have heard of before, and that's her on the lift with Mulch flipping me off through a mitten.....someone please get Deb some gloves. Best wishes Deb! Old NH friend now living in San Diego, Matt Maguire "the ritalin kid" is skateboarding. Then and now. I stole the shot of him with his broken decks off of his FB page. The others I took of him back in Maximus and at a vert ramp that was set up in NY for a day. Matt has been posting some really sick old skate pics...made me remember I had these of him to show.

WATERVILLE VALLEY / REDBULL SNAKE RUN

Redbull, Oakley, and Waterville got together again to bring us the Snake Run event this past weekend. Luke and the crew put a great course together and I went up there and shot a bunch of out of focus pictures to share with you that missed it. Feb 5, 2011 There will be 4 divisions: Open, 14 & Under, Ladies and Washed up. Registration will run 8-10am at the Waterville Valley Event Yurt and the contest is free with a lift ticket or seasons pass.
