Here are a few new shots of NH native and DFL EB Snow Team Rider Nick Francke. He's simply still ruling it. Not only does he build parks he destroys them just as well. Photos bause.at

SPRING SESSIONS
CHEAP SHOES
If you haven't had new kicks since this photo of Dave "Bones" Mills was taken back at Turtles ( April 1986 ) then come on in. We just took all of or sale shoes and marked them down again. We should have something that fits you from around $20-$45 plus all the newer Spring shoes that have been coming in from around $45-$70. The sun is actually due out and temps should be lurking in the 70's this weekend...get out and skate!
JUSTIN BRACE
Sunday April 11th 6-9pm at Rye Airfield. Join us to skate and ride for our great friend Justin. There will be best trick prizes and other giveaways through the evening. Bring your skate or bike and make a $10 donation to the Justin Brace / ALS Fund and you're in. To learn a bit more about ALS click here. If you have never been to Rye before please have the waiver ready.
LAST CALL EDIT BY MARK
Last Call 2010 from eb danvers on Vimeo.
It always amazes me what someone will try over less than ideal conditions. The snow actually had a little give on the channel but the wind was cranking and the light was a bit flat. The rhythm section was a riot...the 1/4 pipe was burly and "firm" but everyone charged it like any other day. Gotta love New England snowboarders....and Last Call! If you haven't watched this yet have a look. Thanks to everyone that makes the trek to join us every year. See you all for the 11th Annual.

OLD PHOTO OF THE DAY
Gormley report:
"Dan Brothers has been a terror for years. On four wheels or two edges, he always looks comfortable on his board. This snap is him blasting a smooth frontside 360 off the Boneyard table top. Can you identify the MIA board he's riding?
Summertime Dan would show up at the Waterville Valley skatepark with his boat in the back of his pick up truck after pulling some small mouth from the river. After a couple of runs we'd sit in his boat and dip into the well stocked cooler. "
Dan worked in the Fitchburg EB for a while too.

SAM ADAMS PRE GAME
After we wrapped things up the other day we slid on down to the Bunyan room at Loon to warm up and sip on a few carbonated juice drinks. Later everyone took a breather and met up for dinner and started to party. Good stuff, great friends, many laughs and one foggy morning.
Snowboarder Magazine
Thanks Pat, T-Bird, Reid and Huggy for making the trek with us again to celebrate the 10th Last Call. Here's what they had to say. Pics write up and video.

KOVALL
BACK TO THE BONE YARD 2
Check out pics and video from Pat Moores Back to the Boneyard 2 at the Snowboarder Mag site and the Transworld site. Pat had some pretty sick trophies to hand out...an indian head for Preston, sorceress figure, giant pants to fill for Nelson, dream catcher for Zach, wizard plate with gems, a life sized butler for Nelson for being served so hard, a plug in light of a kitty and waterfall for Nelsons biggest pussy award...Nelson really swept it come to think of it...a giant barbarian sword for Greg Maxwell which he seemed extremely stoked on, even the "cat lady" award to his mom Deb. Pats a good guy and puts on a great event even in pouring rain. It's not often enough someone remembers to give back once they "make it." Thanks for the fun day Pat, Luke and all Waterville folks.

ROAD TRIP
Leo locals Luke, Kris, Dave, and Derek embarked on an adventure to Arizona just in time to miss out on the flooding here in Mass. 4 hours of footage and 2 trips to the emergency room made for a damn good time in the grand canyon state. Thanks to Jordan Bozeat and Jeff Pulliam for being cool and hooking it up during the trip.

BRENDON REGO
I talked with Rego for a bit tonight who has been living up at Loon all winter. Sounds like Norton and the guys have been pushing snow for Last Call already and the channel gap is taking shape. He's also known to be a rail slayer so it was cool to hear him stoked on more air features this year. Here's a hand plant shot by Cole Martin of Brendon in Plymouth NH and another by Andrew Domin on a rail in Leominster.
OLD PHOTO OF THE DAY
Matthew Gormley..East Coast - West Coast correspondent and all around shred has been hooking me up with some cool old shots and blurbs that I'll be dropping in here over the next couple weeks. For those to young to personally know some of the heads that will be shown here in the old pics, just know they all were ruling the same trails you're all riding now and most helped pave the way to make better parks happen in one way or another. Take it away Matt....
"Prior to his ascension through the ranks at Burton, Adam Moran was a heavy ripper for K2. Blasting out monstrous airs and smooth lines despite running Clickers, Adam defied physics and convention by proving you can still have style with step ins.
While he eventually was allowed to step out, Adam and Jeff both made that K2 Clicker system look good. Here Adam drifts another proper method for the 1995 Ride Guide cover shot. Money."
For the record step in systems were one of the worst times for snowboard equipment developement. Companies had pressured shops to carry it explaining to us that this was the future! ummmmm yeah...the future land fill piles. Adam Moran has since become Burtons Global TM

TAYLOR OWEN
Looks like Taylor had some bad luck at the Open. Word is that she had been riding really well but when the temps changed the course slowed down leaving her coming up short and she has blown out her MCL. We won't be seeing her at Last Call for the first time in years. She had been on a good streak with a few events this year too. Best wishes going out to Taylor and her quick recovery. See you back on the snow soon.

MATT GORMLEY
With the Spring comes the most fun events of the snowboarding season. Back to the Boneyard 2 at Waterville Valley is the day before Last Call at Loon. There is no excuse to not be there for both. Call in dead, rent a room, bring your board, all your friends and join in all the fun. Pat is flying our old East Coast hero Matt Gormley in to make sure the gathering of old shreds is legit. Matt called to warn us of his return and sent us these cool old pics of Pat Moore too. The rest of this blurb is from Matt.
The worst thing about looking at old photos is realizing that time passes so quickly.
These shots of Pat Moore when he was 8 years old. His mom was my boss, so this little red haired grommet with a wall of teeth always smiling would follow us around all the time. He'd help hang banners, set up bamboo and carry prizes. He'd just point it and hit all the jumps.
Around this there were some really good locals at Waterville Valley: Jeff and Adam Moran, Zach and Aaron Diamond, Andrew Mutty, Trevor Kupetz, Nick Francke, Dan Brothers and Alexei Garrick. The other batch of young upstarts included Matty Ryan and Luke Mathison. Years later this family is still pretty tight knit. Matty Johnson, Bill Enos and Mike Bettera are still heavyweights in the shred game.
I still think Pat has one of the best styles around, but one thing I always find is that ear-to-ear grin while strapped to his board. That feeling is contagious. Smile and ride.
More pics to follow. Be there on Tuesday for Back to the Boneyard 2. Do it.
Gorms
( Thanks Matt..keep the blurbs and rad old pics coming buddy. See you in the Bone Yard on Tuesday the 23rd! )

Party Marty hard at work
Ryan Martin recently dropped his part in VideoTron, a local video put out by long time eb head Read Jana(how do you spell his name again) and other local rippers. The video has a solid mix of riding and no front flips, so i was stoked. Ryans part is receiving good words all over the internet, including Transworld bmx and Vital bmx. You can view his part here but i highly suggest figuring out a way to get your hands on a copy. Sit down with the buds, a couple brewskys and enjoy some good New England bmx riding.
