Went over to Wachusett this morning to try and help the guys tweak a few things in the park. This is a tough year to say the least for snow here in Ma. If we can get enough things to run a fun event we'll be there asap and make it happen. Stay posted. Jumps are especially tough with minimal snow but Tyler and the guys will be trying a couple new ideas we tossed out to make the things in the park a little more interesting. Theres a "wallride" banked box now lower in the park and they got the extension idea on the dance floor installed today too. Make the most of it as we try and dial some things in.

Anyone that has been home thinking the snow up north is still not worth the drive, should take a look at how much Loon has been pumping out. Conditions this Sunday were pretty good. These pics are from the giant piles in the main park. The 1/2 pipe was being cut, the wallride was being shaped and dug out too. Mini parks are also in the works. There are new trails on South Peak...and the list goes on. Get your butt up there.

The EB VAN has been rolling through New England for the last few weeks. Rav, Dylan, Johnny O'Connor and the film crew are lurking around the Leominster area today.

BOPPO! is the feeling. The amazing vibe you get after a session with the homies; a great meal with your family; or a long night gripping the dance floor with a beauty. Founded by a few best friends looking to share their positive mentality with the world; BOPPO! is about enjoying everyday to the fullest & smiling the whole way through.

Boppo is made locally too. Backed by a lot of local guys that have been helping to keep the New England skate and snow scene alive. Support the locals. Check out their site and see what it's all about for yourself. These items are now here in the Leominster EB.

It's not a story anyone wants to document but was, and should be seen non the less. Good to see Danny back. Great video.

On a completely sad note this is the other side of this sort of story that just was released.

Eastern Boarder Presents Street Games
at Waterville Valley

On Saturday and Sunday, January 28 (snowboard) & 29 (ski), 2012 Waterville Valley Resort and New England’s favorite shop EB will officially unveil Waterville's brand new South Street Terrain Park. This park is the brainchild of Terrain Park Manager Luke Mathison and his creative staff. The overall purpose of this park is for riders to have a place where the focus is on learning and progression without huge consequence. The Street Games event will be three 30-minute jam sessions per division. First off will be the Slingshot section where a 20ft Banshee Bungee will be setup for competitors to use. Second will be roll the dice where judges will be rolling the custom die and calling tricks at random. Third will be the creation station where judges will be looking for the most unique lines and use of the features. Building has begun on a new Red Bull signature feature for the event as well. There will be no teasers on what the feature will be so you'll just have to come to the event. This won’t be your typical contest format with over critical judging and mandated structure. It will be more of a controlled chaos with a focus on creativity, style and fun. Competitors will be awarded prizes from a very heavy sponsor list including: EB, Oakley, Red Bull, Foursquare, Forum, Special Blend, Coal and Banshee Bungee during each sections session at random for exemplary style. There will be one overall winner from each division at the conclusion of the event.

Format: 30 min jam for each division per section.
1st section: Banshee Bungee Slingshot
2nd Section: Roll the dice
3rd Section: Creation Station

8-10am at Event Yurt
Event will start at 10:30am
Price: $10 per competitor *Discounted lift tickets available at registration. *

Gus from Loon sent some pics of what's happening up there these days. We all know it's been a funky winter but if you haven't been going up north you're blowing it. The parks and conditions are in real great shape and only getting better. Get off the couch.

Here's an edit from Slade Lewis of one of our locals Pat Mcnelly.

Way to go Sam!

Sam Hulbert takes 2nd at the 10th Red Bull Nanshan Open

With judges including Michi Albin, Ingemar Bachman and Scotty Wittlake in charge of narrowing yesterday's 12 top-ranked riders down to four for the afternoon's Super Finals, the level of riding was significantly elevated from the qualification round as riders gave their all for promises of fame, glory and of course the TTR points and prize money. After two runs each, USA's Sam Hulbert would enter the Super Finals ranked first, followed by Juuso Laivisto, Roope Tonteri (FIN) and Teddy Koo (KOR). In the end Sam Hulbert took second with a bs720 to fs1080 on the kickers and was the only rider to hit the jib section's oversized-pipe with a 50-50 to bs360 out.

This is another nice one that came in for a tune today. The Joyride alone was cool and then I noticed the old Ride Brushie signature bindings that looked like they just came out of the packaging. These shots I took of Jeff are from Stratton and Nashoba Valley. Nashoba was helping promote snowboarding LONG before a lot of New England ski areas ever let us ride.
