TAYLOR OWEN / FLAUNT IT WV

"Taylor had a great day at the Ladies Only " Flaunt It " slopestyle/rail jam event put on by Billabong at Waterville. Not only did she win the slopestyle, she also won best trick of the day and placed 2nd in the rail jam. The win earns her a free trip to the finals of the Flaunt it tour at Lake Tahoe Ca on April 8th. This was the only east coast stop on the 6 stop North American tour. Nice way to finish out the season!"
Nice going Taylor good luck at finals!

BACK TO THE BONEYARD 3 / WATERVILLE VALLEY

BTTBY#3 edit by Tanner and the Snowboarder Magazine crew. More to come from this one asap. Thanks for another great event Pat!

LAST CALL 11 / SNOWBOARDER MAGAZINE EDIT

While it rained down here at the shops this Wednesday we held Last Call 11 in a steady snow storm up at Loon. Weather may have changed course speed and visibility but it didn't stop 70+ riders from making the most of what Nortons crew built this year. Here's a pretty sick edit from Tanner and the guys at Snowboarder magazine. Thanks to everyone that made the trek up despite the weather forecast. Those that were afraid it might be raining blew it. Thank you again for all the support ....K2, Oakley, 32, Redbull, Scion, Siege and everyone at Loon mountain.

Stay tuned for results, other videos and photos.

Every year we work with our company reps and other solid skate/snow shops to bring in the best of the best riders in the area. This helps make sure Last Call is one of the best spectator events held each winter. Many of these riders are already New England house hold names in the snow bro industry. Some are going to be the next people you read about in the years to come. We're giving away $5,000 and a TON of prizes this year. These guys will earn it too...you should be there to see it happen...March 16th at LOON.

LAST CALL REGISTRATION TIME

Registration is in Java Junction ( where it usually is )from 8:30 - 10:00 am
...we max out at 80 riders. If you were on our list from the reps or someway, be ON TIME. If you're there after 9:40ish we will give your spot to someone else wanting to get in.

Registered riders need to be in the event area by 10:50 am for a meeting.

We begin at 11:00 sharp. ONLY registered riders can be on the course. Loon is going to be very strict on this. If you want to partake in the event then register.

Riders break for lunch in the park starting at 12:00 ( at that time we'll hold a loose K2 high jump contest too )

Awards at 3:30 on the shaping shack deck in the park.

Right after awards go to the Bunyan room (at the bottom of the trail) where we will raffle off a Happy Hour K2 board and three Bambooya skate decks...raffle is free.

Thanks everyone...we're looking forward to seeing you all again this year.

11TH ANNUAL LAST CALL PRIZES

Besides $5,000 in CASH we will be handing out all of this too.

Breakdown:

More than just the top riders will go home with custom Oakley glasses. The women's glass is the Fringe ($110) and the men's glass will be the Plaintiff ($150). The Plaintiff will have "Last Call 2011" etched in the lens, and both will come with the custom "Big Mike" bags.

Mens 1st $1,500 plus prizes / 2nd $1,000 plus prizes / 3rd $500 plus prizes / ...and a bag of prizes for "you almost made top three"

Womens 1st $800 plus prizes /2nd $400 plus prizes /3rd $200 plus prizes / ...and a bag for "you almost made top three"

Like previous years there will be three features in the event. One standout rider will get a $200 bonus for being the supreme destroyer of that particular feature. Features this time will be jib heavy for sure but you better be comfy in the air too because we're going to mix it all in together.

Had a bad day? Don't sweat it. We always have a prize bag for the worst bail. Maybe that can be your go to trick.

We'll have another random prize bag for someone who does something worthy or sketchy...we'll figure out what that is during the day.

Oh and did we mention that during the lunch break K2 is holding a high ollie contest? There are K2 Bambooya skate decks for three riders with the biggest springs in their boots.

Could we possibly squeeze more into one glorious day of shredding? Well....actually no. That is until we all creep down to the bar in the Bunyan room at the bottom of the dude tube and raffle off a 2012 K2 Happy Hour snowboard AND three more Bambooya skate decks with other stuff taped to them! ( Word is there might be a little room in the budget for a few "after event
sodas" courtesy of the good people at K2 )

Take note please: Loon Mountain is SUPER FUN but we need to remember to be responsible even at Last Call. Keep the party in the bars and respect the mountains employees and other people visiting the area not partaking in "our fun." Please find a DD or use area shuttles. Hopefully you get room in the Woodstock or Lincoln area that evening and meet us out after dinner. Typically we land at the Station or Truants bar in downtown Woodstock. ( Mark Wakeling will entertain you with his amazing Karaoke voice and high kicks )

Thanks to our 2011 sponsors K2, Oakley, 32, Siege, Scion, Redbull and of course Loon Mountain.
