..If you plan on making it up to this event then you'll be about 27 years late. This magazine clip was from an old readers digest and was my first look at snowboarding. I wish I had a camera at the time of this event because all the original heavies were there getting their shred on. I don't know if anyone actually hit 60MPH on those old whips but they sure were cranking down that hill and taking a beating when they ate it during the speed trials....awesome.

This morning we were either visited by Chris Haslam and friend or a total Haslam want to be. Not many people look like this and creep around quietly in a pair of Globes. Everyone did the triple take but just couldn't fan out and ask..soooo anyway Chris, if it was you thanks for popping into EB.

Looks like Mother Nature has been outdone again. With temps below freezing for the past week the ski areas have taken full advantage of making their own snowstorms. Wachusett OPENS TODAY and has also put an extension on the season pass savings until Nov 23rd. Sign up before Sunday online asap if you need a pass..you'll save $100 on them. Use the GPS Club program and sign up under EAstTERN BOARDER / LEOMINSTER ..... We'll catch you guys on the snow weekday mornings before the shop opens for a couple hours. Look for a couple fun low key events there too this winter with EB.

...chances are you didn't even notice I was gone for a week but lucky you I'm back now. I believe I will be talking to Tabor about opening an EB in Mexico...east coast side of course. Anyway....a lot has been happening in the shop since I went away. Looks like it's new product 'o' rama in here:
... Skate decks and completes from Alien, Habitat, RAW, Almost, Expedition, Black Label, Blind, Shape, Darkstar, Enjoi, Speed Demons, and more...including the Powell Peralta RE-ISSUE decks...so sick.
....More shoes from Vans, Globe, DVS, Lakai, and Supra.
....Snowbro stuff from Defcon, Grenade, Ass, Level and their womens Bliss gloves, Stepchild boards.
....BMX parts such as the A. Ross veteran saddle, Props 60, Shadow pivital seats, Subrosa pivital seats, revenge customer friendly grips, odyssey hazard lite purple rain, Odyssey Aitken 2.25 street tire, Shadow undertaker tires 2.25, Fly tierra bars, fly cranks (175 only), Clothing from UGP, Orchid, and Shitluck.
......So, as you see we're stocking up here. Take a rip through the shop and check it out. Holidays are approaching and Grandma will be wondering what you need. A new deck will be way more fun than a three pack of tighty whities.

Oakley threw another bender at the Red Hook Brewery last night. Trouble played and many many beverages were consumed by shred hungry "industry folk." Some of the photos are a little blurry but that's how most of the people saw the evening anyway. Enjoy.
