WORLD 1/4 PIPE CHALLENGE

Snowboarder Magazine, Timber Ridge VT, 1/4 pipe, Rome, fire, snowballs, transfers, gaps, crashes, fireworks, glory, whiskey, jibs, mini bike, interns, pros, guitar, BBQ, $1,000 in quarters, gauntlet, fun, as it should be. I would write something interesting if my brain wasn't so spent. Look out for all sorts of video and pics on the interweb. I found a good bunch at www.snowrev.com they have video too. Scroll down for my pics from one of the most chill and still wild "contests" of the year. Thank you Pat Bridges for reviving the World Quarters. Next year you should hand out a new liver to the party MVP.

SLIDE SHOW info

Hopefully the slideshows don't completely slow your computer down. For some reason loading them as an album is giving me crap. If you click on any shot going past you will open the shot for a larger view and be able to view them through photobucket. If one looks like it's not there hit refresh and look again. Feel free to leave comments on the blogs where you can but do not click on anyones "comment" if it looks like you should be able to. Chances are it's not a link. If we figure out a way to squash that we will.

WATERVILLE VALLEY DAYS

Part of a good mancation means spending time at Waterville before going to Sugarloaf. Deb Moore is the hostess with the mostess and Luke served up another great park. Although I didn't get waist deep powder it was still a good edge deep. So you win some and lose some but it was fun anyway. Below are some shots from the couple days I was there in the park. Reis, Thorley, Leom local Nick Julius, Mulch, Millar, Luke and more made good use of the park on both sunny and gray days.

WATERVILLE DAY IN THE PARK

WE'RE CLOSED EASTER SUNDAY

Sorry kids. There seems to be a small issue with the bunny and the eggs. If you have a bunny that can carry a basket it needs to fill out a job application asap so we all get candy.

HAVE YOU CLAIMED IT?

Make sure to get that truckload of snow to the claim it rails and get some footy down. www.myspace.com/redbullclaimiteb
Bring in some clips and grab a t-shirt while you're here for free.

FLOW AT SUGARLOAF

I took a ride up to Sugarloaf for the last three days with the family and happened to catch our old friend Andrew Mutty who's the Flow Team Manager along with Antti Autti and Risto Mattila doing a shoot. Down at West Mountain there's a tunnel under the road you ride under to get to the chair. Jay Scambio from Loon was there working with Mutty too building the take off and a little bit of a landing. The gap was probably around 50-60' from lip to landing and the guys were towed in by sled down the trail at 60-70 mph according to the guy towing. My guess is they hit the take off doing about 50 after dropping the tow rope. Within an hour of setting up sure enough word was out, and the guys had a session in front of most of the people that live on west mountain in the condos and homes. Warehouse Steve H., Mutty, Autti, Risto and I were subjected to 80's night at the Widowmaker bar that night where we shot a little pool and killed a few hundred virtual animals on Buck Hunter. It was good to see Mutty again, and thanks for the show Antti and Risto ( who are probably killing it at the Open this week ). Look for more FLOW product at EB next season. We have dug a little deeper into their line with boards, boots, and bindings for 2009.

IT AINT OVER

Mission: Get it while it lasts. Waterville Valley this past Tuesday our inhouse ripper Chris Mulchcrazy got his jump on. I shot a bunch of photos in the last few days up there while bumping into all sorts of team guys and friends. Rotax, Berrisford, Ian Thorley, Reis, Luke and the whole Waterville Academy crew were killing it. The snow was pretty good considering we just had rain and a freeze. ( Just don't follow Deb Moore down "her favorite trail" without a pair of hockey skates on )Watervilles in great shape right now and set up perfectly for Spring riding with decent base depths all over the mountain. If you like good music check the Waterville site for the upcoming Toots and the Maytals show details too. I'll toss a few pics up soon of some of the other guys when I get more time. Right now it's off to Sugarloaf for the weekend.

MINIS

Funny what you find blowing around the shop driveway sometimes. Here's a mini Kruper, 8yrs old weighing in at 65lbs and a towering 4'5"...and a Mini Cooper. Tommy traded his skates in for a different sort of "skate" a while back and you can find him on youtube like anything else. The kid flows..watch him in the Thanks Camera 3 dvd too. If you search his name there's a great clip of him dancing too.

HONDOS GIRL

I noticed on the Danvers blog that Hondo is into Rosie. She is quite a catch. Everyone make sure to tell Hondo during the Open that he has to stay for Last Call and school can wait.

BRING IT

We spent the day at loon Monday working on Last Call and getting some riding in. The snow was great and the park was amazing. Loon has so many natural jibs you barely need a park anyway to have fun but the park ices the cake. Keep posted for details and the lay out for Last Call soon.
